Snowkiting at Col du Lautaret
Since 2006, a team of qualified professionals has been on hand to help you learn or improve your skills, in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that’s all about safety.
Geographically, the spot is at the heart of the legendary Col du Lautaret, at an altitude of 2058m. We’ve got plenty of space, so you’ll be able to progress on an evolving terrain, making the most of the mountainous, snow-covered relief.
Snow cover is exceptional from November to May.

The regular breezes give us almost every wind direction from south, south-west to south-east and north-east. Permanently exposed to the wind, you’ll discover the joy and magic of snowkiting!

Snowkiting is a sliding sport towed by a “kite”, accessible to all, provided you are in good physical shape and at least 7 years old (with parental authorisation).

The service gives you access to
- Participation in outings organised by the club, competitions or trips organised by the school.
- An educational course, to learn the different gaits in relation to the slope
- Snow park modules for freestyle training
- A cross-country course for learning to freeride, with day outings to prepare for multi-day mountain tours or expeditions.
The school provides all the kiteboarding equipment: a radio, a harness, a traction kite (kite) adapted to your level, your morphology, the strength of the wind and the snow conditions.
You’ll need to bring your own equipment: an approved ski helmet (compulsory), skis or snowboard + boots, ski clothing, gloves, water, sunglasses and sun cream, and a change of warm clothes. Picnic and water for day outings.

I've been snowkiting since 2004; I obtained my state alpine skiing certificate in 2006 and then my federal snowkite instructor's certificate in 2011.
My snowkiting is mainly freeride, but the discovery of kite-surfing in 2005 totally transported me into the world of kitesurfing, which I continue to explore.
I continue to teach skiing, snowboarding and telemark skiing at the International Ski School in the Serre-Chevalier valley. I also organise outings to the off-piste area of La Grave.
I've been teaching snowkiting since 2011 and I look forward to seeing you every winter at the Col du Lautaret to help you discover snowkiting in all spots and conditions.

Originally from Briançon, with a passion for the mountains and board sports, I have been a ski instructor since 2014, teaching skiing and snowboarding in the Serre Chevalier area at the "Ski Connections" ski school.
I've been snowkiting for about ten years, and I had the opportunity to obtain my Monitorat Fédéral 4 years ago... So it's on the Spot du Col du Lautaret with "Kite Légende" that I invite you to meet me and share my passion...
From beginner to advanced, you can discover the joys of riding this natural tug-of-war and explore the mountains in a different way.
