Further training Snowkite
“Moving around a spot and controlling your kite”.
After your introduction, you’ll want to discover the possibilities and magic of snowkiting…
You’ll need to master your basic flying skills, so the kite moves in a figure of 8.
You will move in different directions…
The instructor will adapt new courses to suit the weather and snow conditions, showing you the different obstacles and how to overcome them, as well as the subtleties of each of the “Spots” on the Col du Lautaret.
This stage can be repeated as many times as you like and as necessary to improve your handling of the glider and your trajectories…
This is a good time to get your own equipment. We will be able to advise you and guide you in your choices and questions.
Your aim:
- To make you autonomous on a “school” spot, particularly in terms of technical choices and finding your bearings on changing terrain.
- Be able to anticipate your trajectory on the terrain you will be travelling on by precisely naming the planned itinerary and taking natural landmarks into account.
- Manage your speed in relation to the strength and direction of the wind
- Master all kite movements (figure-eight, kite-loop, down-loop)
- Discover and respect safety rules
- Choose the right kite size
- Mastering this level gives you access to supervised sailing. Only the instructor is authorised to take responsibility for this decision.

You must take out FFVL insurance before any snowkite session or course.
You can :
take out insurance for one day directly with Kite Légende
come directly with your licence/insurance previously taken out with the FFVL (indicating the school number 01966), which saves everyone time!
