Power Kiting
“Driving without gliding”
The PowerKite session is aimed at people who are new to snowkiting and can’t or don’t want to practice with their skis or snowboard. You will practice with boots adapted to the snow.
You will learn the rudiments of the “wind window”. You’ll be introduced to the pleasures of kitesurfing, with or without traction, on the dedicated spot at the Kite School on the Col du Lautaret.
Objectives :
- To know how to fly a traction kite in a wind range of 10 to 40 km/h.
- Understand the anatomy of a kite.
- Get to know the flight window (depending on the model)
- Fly your kite in the window and half-window
- Discover how to set up and pack the wing
- Be able to use the emergency release system (5th line) and reconnect to your kite.
- Move around a given course on foot while holding your kite in the air
- Master the reverse take-off.
- Be able to get up from the ground and perform controlled slides on the snow using your kite.
